A memorable evening. KiNo sings new songs with piano accompaniment by amazing Shahla Atlas at Zebulon, Nyc.

Truly delighted by the enthusiastic attendance, including, a few legends as a New York treat; father of Anthology of Film Archives the filmmaker Jonas Mekas and co., the great bass maverick Juini Booth from SunRa Arkestra, McCoy Tyner and Ilhan Ersahin.

Special thanks to Joce Soubiran for causing this new mode of performance, to Jef,  Guillaume and all the mates at Zebulon. At last but not least, cheers to my team for being there, now back to work on the set with my psychedelic machines.

KiNo Live by Piano is an activity of KiNo LiVe and his expression in sound.

Live production returns to headquarters Ears and it’s alive and working. Our machines are giving us extremely exciting results. Too bad you cannot hear what’s going on in here just yet. We will be laughing soon.

The first full band rehearsal: It rocked, it rocked! As a matter of fact, I can’t quite remember another time feeling this bloody good. Here are some photographs taken by the producer Jeff Blenkinsopp.

After the production meeting at Ears this weekend, the new kids (Shahla Atlas on keys and Niko Bikialo on drums) with the producer Jeff Blenkinsopp.

Alan McSeveney and KiNo meets the lighting guru Christopher Robinson. He will be the advisor and creative director for our hues in the air for the upcoming KiNo Live.

With the completion of the development period for our custom made equipment, we left the headquarters Ears for the rehearsal space (aptly named as ‘The Space’ by Alan) in Brooklyn. For the next 3 weeks, we will be putting the KiNo Live show together. Now, the music!

Alan undertakes the task of stripping down, reracking and cabling the machines in the most meticulous manner I have ever seen anyone do a task.

KiNo Live Rig Completed is an activity of KiNo LiVe and his expression in sound.

The monster flight case arrived at Ears which will home and carry all the KiNo Live rig.

New Rig Arrived is an activity of KiNo LiVe and his expression in sound.

Producer Jeff Blenkinsopp and guitarist Alan McSeveney developed the computer controlled analogue rig over 9 months at Ears. This sound processing unit is a ground breaking invention, an integration of computer technology with the unrivalled majesty of analogue sound.

Built for KiNo Live, this equipment uses the same idiosyncratic production methods of the Map of the Universe to achieve its psychedelic sound live during performance.

At this point, the technical development phase is concluding and the equipment will soon leave Ears to rehearsal space.

One of the last components of the KiNo Live rig, monikered ‘tower of power’ by Blenkinsopp, is the macmini to computerise the settings of the filter units.

This is what our controllers look like. It’s a pedal board with no sound effects. Containing an expression pedal, tuner, sustain pedal and midi xchange for recalling the computerised settings of full range of analogue effects generated by Blenkinsopp’s Fu2s and Fu3s. Designed by Alan McSeveney.
